MONROE - The Green County Dairy Days Cattle Show, hosted by the Brooklyn Dairy Day Committee, was held on June 21 at the Green County Fairgrounds.
The results of the 2014 event were: Taylor Behnke, New Glarus 4-H, who topped the Registered Holstein show with her fall heifer, taking the Grand Champion title; Paige Dilley, Monticello FFA, was selected as the Reserve Champion; and Mitchell Dammen, Dougherty Creek 4-H, was pulled for honorable mention. In the Registered Brown Swiss show, Grand and Reserve Champion went to Amber Dammen, Dougherty Creek 4-H, with Blake Doran's Clarence Bridge Pioneers heifer being selected for honorable mention. Registered Any Other Breed Champion went to Paige Dilley, Monticello FFA, and Reserve Champion, Averey Marean, Cheese Country Clovers. In the Grade Holstein Show, Hunter Ula, York 4-H, ended the day with both Grand and Reserve Champion titles. In the Grade Any Other Breed, Kalee Schaefer won both the Grand and Reserve Champions.
Showmanship winners in grades third and fourth were: Chesnie Wilhite, Clarence Bridge Pioneers; Aaron Makos, Spring Grove Honest Workers; and Blake Doran, Clarence Bridge Pioneers. Grades five and six showmanship winners were: Emily Makos, Spring Grove Honest Workers; Brian McCullough, Spring Grove Honest Workers; and Chris Kamholz, Juda Jolly Juniors. Grades seven and eight showmanship winners were: Andrew Nimtz, New Glarus 4-H; Rachel McCullough, Spring Grove Honest Workers; Phebe Christen, Argyle FFA. Grades nine and 10 showmanship winners were: Mitchell Dammen, Dougherty Creek 4-H; Kelsey Cramer, Juda FFA; and Collin Brewer, Juda Jolly Juniors. Grades 11 and 12 showmanship winners were: Patrick Blair, Dayton Dairylanders; Paige Dilley, Monticello FFA; and Paige Hoesly, Clarence Bridge Pioneers. Grades 13-plus showmanship winners were: Brooks Hendrickson, Belleville FFA; Lukas Wymer, Clarence Bridge Pioneers; and Rachel Gilson,York 4-H.
