MONROE — City of Monroe utility crews will be doing routine water main flushing starting April 8 to Oct. 31. 

The Utility flushes all of its hydrants twice a year. Those who experience cloudy or rusty water, which is a common occurrence when performing this type of work, should allow the tap to run for three to five minutes and it should clear up.
