SOUTH WAYNE - Three people were killed in a two-vehicle accident at about 2:15 a.m. Sunday on Wisconsin 11 on the east edge of the village, according to Scott Pedley, Lafayette County sheriff, in a press release Sunday.
Richard J. Christen, 67, Monroe; Carol Wenger, 70, Monroe; and Kathryn D. Olin, 65, Brodhead; were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. A fourth person in the vehicle, Richard G. Olin, 67, Brodhead, was taken to the Monroe Clinic for non-life threatening injuries.
Pedley said a truck driven by Travis J. Kirschbaum, 20, Glen Haven, crossed the center line and hit a vehicle driven by Christen.
Pedley said alcohol doesn't appear to be a factor in the crash.
