MONROE - The Green County Humane Society board accepted two members' resignations and appointed two people to replace them Wednesday.

Marci Hensel, who has served for four years, and Marsha Stanek, who has been on the board for several years, submitted their resignations.

Hensel was not able to comment about her resignation this morning. Stanek was not available for comment.

The board appointed Sherri Fiduccia and Mick McClain to fill the remaining few months of Hensel and Stanek's terms, which expire in May.

Fiduccia, a Monroe resident, is the owner of Monroe Auto Sales and has been involved with the humane society as a volunteer for several years. She said she's looking forward to serving on the board.

"I think the humane society is on the right track and I want to be a part of that," she said. "I'm very excited about serving on the board."

Fiduccia also has a horse ranch where she trains and boards horses.

McClain, of Monticello, is a member of the humane society's outdoor adoption committee.

The board voted last fall to expand the board from nine members to 11. Executive members of the board include Yvonne Schutte, president; Barb Gerber, vice president; and Paul Barrett, treasurer. Other board members include Mary Jane Grenzow, Tracey Pederson, Chris Soukup, Heidi Treuthardt, Sue Curran and Tina Gilbert.
