Two men arrested for growing pot in Albany

ALBANY - Two Albany men have been arrested on charges related to growing marijuana.

Kevin Flood, 54, was arrested on charges of growing marijuana, possession of marijuana, maintaining a drug dwelling, and possession of a controlled substance.

Officers from the State Line Area Narcotics Team, in conjunction with the Green County Sheriff's Office, Albany Police Department, and the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation executed a search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of Spruce Street in Albany. There they seized 72 cannabis plants, grow equipment for manufacturing cannabis plants, an amount of cocaine and five guns.

The charges against Flood represent one Class E felony, two Class I felonies, and one misdemeanor.

SLANT and Green County Sheriff officers also arrested Nicholas Roth, 34, on charges of growing marijuana, possession of marijuana and maintaining a drug dwelling.

Officers executed a search warrant in the N6500 area of County X where they found found and seized six cannabis plants and an amount of cannabis. The charges against Roth represent 1 Class E felony, 1 Class I felony, and one misdemeanor.

Both Flood and Roth are in custody at the Green County Jail pending arraignment.
