accident

MONROE — Two people were taken by ambulance to Monroe Clinic after a driver went off the road and crashed into a pedestrian and a garage south of Brodhead, according to the Green County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies were dispatched to the accident scene in the W300 block of Rock Hill Road, Town of Spring Grove, at about 1:50 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16.

The driver, a 77-year-old woman, left the road and struck a 54-year-old man on foot on residential property, "then ended up crashing into a garage," said Chief Deputy Tom Moczynski.

Both sustained non-life threatening injuries, he said. The Brodhead Fire Department, Brodhead EMS and Green County EMS assisted deputies on scene. The accident remained under investigation the following day.
