MONROE - Two young people from Monroe were arrested for a "few grams" of marijuana and possession of multiple pot pipes and scales Thursday as a part of a warrant executed by the State Line Area Narcotics Task Force.

Kallee A. Nybroten, 21, and Adrian I. Ugalde-Chapman, 20, were charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at an apartment in the 300 block of 4th Avenue West, according to a Monroe Police Department news release. Both subjects were booked and released pending court. A third person named in the search warrant was not present Thursday and could also face charges.

MPD Chief Fred Kelley said the amount of pot found was in the "single digits in grams." Kelley said the third subject could be arrested in the next few days, but did not release a name.
