MONROE - A portion of 13th Avenue will be shut down for much of the day Monday.
On Monday, Aug. 25, the City of Monroe Street Department will be replacing a traffic signal conduit at the intersection of 13th Avenue and 9th Street. The actual work will be done on 13th Avenue, just south of 9th Street.
During the replacement, the 900 block of 13th Avenue will be closed to thru traffic from approximately 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Drivers must find an alternate route during this time.
