MONROE - Carol Thompson, Green County clerk of court, announced Tuesday she will seek another term.
Thompson has been clerk of court since June 2000. She has worked in Green County's judicial system since 1986. Before she became clerk, Thompson was traffic clerk, juvenile clerk and register in probate
Thompson decided to seek another four-year term, because she enjoys the job.
"I like working with people, and I enjoy working with my staff," she said.
Thompson's duties include managing the office and completing yearly reports to the state and the county.
Thompson and her husband, Art, live in New Glarus.
She is a graduate of Blanchardville High School and attended vocational classes and training through the Clerk of Courts Association, the Green Bay University of Wisconsin Extension and Madison Area Technical College.
