NEW GLARUS - New Glarus school district Superintendent Barbara Thompson is one of five finalists for a position in Montgomery, Ala., the Montgomery Advertiser reported Thursday.
Thompson is vying to be superintendent for Montgomery Public Schools. She was one of five candidates selected from 49 applicants to interview June 11-12 for the position. Montgomery Public Schools interim superintendent Clay Slagle also is a finalist.
Thompson has been the New Glarus superintendent since 2003.
Thompson also was a finalist for both the Janesville and Beloit school district superintendent positions.
