TOWN OF SYLVESTER - A 17-year-old was treated for non-life threatening injuries after being shot by ricocheting shotgun pellets.
Green County Sheriff's deputies investigated a report of a subject being accidentally shot at a residence on Greenbush Road in the Town of Sylvester just after noon Friday, April 18.
According to the sheriff's department, four subjects were shooting skeet. A 17-year-old male was clearing the weapon when the shotgun went off and the shotgun pellets ricocheted off the ground, hitting a 17-year-old male in the right facial area, right shoulder, and right wrist in numerous spots.
The subject was treated at the Monroe Clinic Hospital.
