Fourth grade, Parkside Elementary School, Monroe

Hi. My name is Kaylea. Today is my first day of school. I'm going into the third grade! My teacher is Mr. Goldblum. My day started with my Mom dropping me off at school. My Mom says, have a good day at school, Kaylea.

I walked down a a long sidewalk and realized that my best friends Maggi and Sally were back from Japan. I ran over to them and game them a big hug. I said, I missed you guys so much! Finally the school Bell rang and everybody lined up. My class got to go in first. When I walked inside I unpacked my backpack. First I took out my wipes, Kleenexs and my hand sanitizer. Next I took out my paper, glue and markers. Then my teacher asked my class to line up to go to specials. Today we have Gym and Music.

In Gym we got to play on the climbing wall. In Music we learned how to play the recorder. After that we went to Math. In Math we did rocket math, fractions division, multiplication and a lot of fun things. Next we went back to our classroom and started getting ready for recess. I'm going to play with my friends Maggi and Sally. But where were they? They were playing with some of their other friends. I'm kind of sad that they will not play with me but that is okay, I will just go play with my other friends Lydia and Kristen. We played on the purple monkeybars. Then the bell rang again and we went in and washed our hands for lunch. Today's lunch is chicken soup with grilled cheese it was really good. Next we had reading. Today we read a story about a young girl named Elizabeth. It was a very good book. Then we had another recess this time I played with Kristen. We played in the sandbox! Guess what we made a sand castle!! Then the Bell rang again! We went in and got ready to go home. We packed up. I needed my assignment Note Book. I also need my Books and my study link! I said good bye to all my friends and my teacher and got on the bus.
