Still time to enter for spot in Christmas parade

MONROE - Monroe Main Street is still taking entries for the 11th annual Christmas parade sponsored by PDC. It is set for 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7.

Individuals, business and organizations can participate with an entry. For more information about the parade, or to register in the parade, contact parade co-chairs Tom Miller at (608) 329-4421 or tmiller4421@charter.net, or Melisa Schmidt at (608) 214-2577 or melisaschmidt@hotmail.com.

Tickets are still available for the Christmas Coach Tours of the Lighting contest. Main Street Monroe, Monroe Clinic and Lamers will be sponsoring the Christmas Coach Tours around the city to view Christmas light displays. Tours will be departing from the Monroe Public Library at 5, 6, 7 and 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7. Advance tickets are available at Rainbow Confections, 1600 11th St., and cost $5 per person until Thursday, Dec. 6. Remaining tickets will be available the evening of the event. Children under 2 can ride free of charge when sitting on their parents' laps.
