MONROE - Tickets to the WIAA Division 2 state basketball tournament are going fast. Secretaries arrived early this morning at Monroe High School to find students lined up to buy the $8 tickets.

The high school office has sold 400 tickets already, and another 400 tickets at Rufs Confectionery are sold out. The school ordered 500 more, which are available only at the office during school hours.

A student fan bus, sponsored by the Booster Club, is scheduled to leave around 1 p.m. Friday for the state semifinal game between Monroe (23-2) and New Berlin Eisenhower (20-4), which is scheduled to begin approximately 25 minutes after the first semifinal game at 1:35 p.m. Students may sign up at school to ride. The band also will be bused to the games.

The high school office had no information on buses being arranged for adult Cheesemakers fans.

The high school will have an early release at 12:18 p.m. Friday. Lunch will be served at school for those leaving on the bus.

Every class will be held, with all periods lasting 25 minutes.
