MONROE - Voters in Green and Lafayette counties will have a fairly quiet spring primary election Tuesday.
On the ballot is selection of a justice for the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Court Justice Rebecca Bradley, who was appointed to the court last fall, is being opposed by JoAnne Kloppenburg, an appeals court judge, and Joe Donald, a circuit court judge in Milwaukee County. The top two vote-getters in Tuesday's primary will advance to the spring general election in April.
In local issues, the New Glarus school district is asking voters to support a referendum to borrow $5.8 million to allow repairs and remodeling to district facilities. If approved, the referendum would not impact property taxes. See Page A3 for more information from the district about the referendum.
