Soil and water health meeting set for Feb. 23

MONROE - Farmers and agronomists in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois will have the opportunity to learn about selecting cover crops, using no-till crop production practices and about conservation improvements at a University of Wisconsin-Extension Soil and Water Health Meeting on Feb. 23. The meeting will be from 1 to 3:30 p.m. in the lower-level multipurpose rooms at the Green County UW-Extension office at 2841 6th St. Heidi Johnson, Dane County UW-Extension crops and soils educator, will give a presentation titled "Selecting Cover Crops for Your Farm." She will discuss how Wisconsin farms are successfully adopting and using cover crops on their farms.
