Sloppy weather on its way

MONROE - Get ready for some messy winter weather to round out the week.

Today, Dec. 19 brings a chance of rain and snow after 3 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Snow mixed with freezing drizzle is predicted after midnight and lasting until before noon Friday, Dec. 20

Friday night and Saturday, Dec. 21 brings a 20 percent chance of snow. Then, the likelihood of snow increases to 90 percent Saturday night and into Sunday, Dec. 22.

Temperatures will remain mild: Today is expected to reach a high in the mid 30s, while the rest of the week should bring highs in the mid to high 20s. Low temperatures are expected to hover in the low 20s.
