DE FOREST - Wisconsin State Patrol arrested a Shullsburg woman in Grant County for a fourth offense of driving under the influence Saturday night, according to a news release.

Julie Michelle Culbert, 42, Shullsburg, was also cited for speeding, failing to yield and operating after revocation. Her driver's license was revoked for a previous OWI offense.

According to the release, a state trooper attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding at 6:48 p.m. on U.S. 151 at County D in Grant County. The suspect, Culbert, continued to drive with the vehicle's hazard lights on before pulling into the Oak Park Trailer Park, where she became stuck in a snow bank. As she attempted to exit the vehicle, Culbert told the trooper there was a medical emergency involving a family member who was in critical condition at a Madison hospital.

Culbert's speech was slurred, and she admitted to drinking alcohol prior to being stopped by the trooper, the release noted. Culbert was found to be impaired after further investigation. She was arrested for her fourth offense of operating while intoxicated.
