DARLINGTON - A Shullsburg man was charged Wednesday with child enticement after a 2016 incident during which he attempted to have sex with an underage girl in Blanchardville.
Ian Fredrick Schwartz, 20, faces a Class D felony count of child enticement after an incident when he reportedly sent a text message to a teenage girl requesting that she meet him in a Blanchardville park to have sex in his vehicle.
According to a police report, Schwartz attempted to remove the teen's clothes despite her protests. After about two minutes of attempting to have sex with her, Schwartz stopped and drove her back to her residence.
Schwartz's maximum possible sentence is 15 years in prison. His initial court appearance is scheduled June 19.
