DARLINGTON — A Shullsburg 18-year-old faces a charge in Lafayette County Circuit Court that he gave a younger teen a Rice Krispies bar laced with marijuana while working at McDonald’s in Darlington.

David P. Treanor was charged May 21 with one count of delivering THC, a Class I felony. He signed a signature bond June 4 with conditions that he not drink, consume controlled substances or go into bars or liquor stores.

According to the criminal complaint, Treanor was working as a cook at McDonald’s on April 30 and asked a Darlington juvenile who came into the restaurant if he wanted a “pot” Rick Krispies bar. Treanor then reportedly retrieved the bar from his car and handed it to the juvenile in a chicken nugget container.

The next day, the juvenile reported that he felt ill after eating the bar and had gotten physically sick on his way to school.

When asked about the incident, Treanor told police he only gave the younger teen his change in a chicken nugget container after he purchased a milkshake.

After his interview with police, Treanor reportedly drove by the juvenile’s residence and flashed his middle finger at him.

Treanor is back in court June 18 for an adjourned initial appearance.
