Sheriff's dept. plans open house

MONROE - The Green County Sheriff's Department is hosting the annual County Law Enforcement Memorial Open House from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Monroe, Brodhead, New Glarus, Monticello and Albany police departments will be participating in this event.

Emergency Services, county officials and the public are invited to attend. There will be tours of the Sheriff's Department Communication Center, Green County Jail, and the underground tunnel, which connects to the Justice Center. The center is located on the east side of Monroe, 2827 6th Street.

Area law enforcement agencies will have personnel and department equipment displayed and will be available to answer questions. Free gunlocks and handout materials will be available.

Refreshments and snacks will be served.
