MONROE - The Behring Senior Center will be sponsoring several trips this year, all of which are available to anyone 55 years of age or older.

The trips are:
Tiffany's, Chocolates and Wine: The group will leave at 8:45 a.m. and return at 5:30 p.m. June 7. The cost is $64 with a $32 deposit due at sign-up. The trip includes a special tour of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Dubuque, Iowa, noted for the one-of-a-kind collection of Tiffany stained glass windows. The next stop is Betty Jane Candies, an Iowa favorite since 1938, to shop and taste homemade chocolates and candies. Enjoy a private tour of the Stone Cliff Winery Production and Tasting Room in the Historic Star Brewery Building, including a wine tasting and an etched wine glass to take home. Lunch at Vinny Vanucchi's is included.
Above and Beyond: Vietnam Veterans Dog Tag Display: The group will leave at 7 a.m. and return at 8:30 p.m. July 13. The cost is $58 with a $29 deposit due at sign-up. This trip starts at the Skydeck in Chicago, then on to Giordano's to try their famous Chicago stuffed pizza. After lunch, the group will view the "Above and Beyond" display of 58,000 hand-stamped replicated dog tags of every U.S. soldier killed in service during the Vietnam War at the Harold Washington Library Center. The last stop will be a private tour and veteran presentation at the National Veterans Art Museum.
White Pines Inn: Senior Follies 2016: The group will leave at 10:30 a.m. and return at 5 p.m. Nov. 9. The cost is $58 with a $29 deposit due at sign-up. Enjoy a home-cooked buffet meal while watching a show at the White Pines Inn in Mount Morris, Illinois. The Senior Follies cast is a group from Rockford ranging from 50 to 91 years of age, bringing talent and energy in a toe-tapping show. All of the proceeds help fund VetsRoll, a local organization that transports veterans free of charge once a year to Washington D.C. to visit their war memorials.
The Clauson Family's "Christmas on the Farm": The group will leave at 9:30 a.m. and return at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 2. The cost is $78 with a $39 deposit due at sign-up. This trip includes a live Christmas show and Christmas dinner at the Historic Barn Theatre in Coloma. "Christmas on the Farm" features a family cast of singers, dancers and musicians performing traditional Christmas favorites along with new holiday selections.
