MONROE - Five juveniles received non-life-threatening injuries in a school bus vs. vehicle accident that occurred Wednesday at 17th Street and Wisconsin 69.
According to a Monroe Police Department report, the school bus driver, Brandi B. Filsinger, 37, Monroe, hit a truck in front of him with the bus. The truck was driven by a 54-year-old Monroe man who was slowing to make a right turn.
Two 10-year-old girls, one 15-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl all sustained minor injuries in the crash, and were treated at the scene. A 14-year-old boy also suffered injuries and was transported to the hospital at the request of his parents. The remaining 17 passengers on the bus did not report any injuries.
Filsinger was cited Wednesday for following too closely. Minor damage was reported to the vehicles.
