JUDA - The Juda School Board approved the 2011 tax levy rate of $11.16 per $1,000 of property equalized value Wednesday, Oct. 26.
The rate is down from $12.79 per $1,000 from 2011.
The equalized value of the property in the district rose roughly 1.1 percent from last year, or $1,161,835.
The total amount levied to district residents dropped $149,194, due in part to employees' contributions to insurance and pension along with other cuts made to expenses in the current budget year.
