MONROE - Two separate roll-over accidents in Green County Friday night left one man uninjured and sent another man to the hospital.

Joseph M.G. Kutyna, 28, rural Monroe, was transported to University of Wisconsin-Madison Hospital for injuries sustained in a crash just before midnight in the N5700 block of County N in the Town of Washington. When officers arrived, Kutyna was pinned under his vehicle and had to be extricated from beneath the vehicle.

According to the Green County Sheriff's Department, Kutyna was northbound on County N when he entered the east gravel shoulder. He made a sharp steering correction to the left, lost control as he was returning to the roadway, then made another sharp steering correction to the right and overturned. The vehicle slid on its top across the roadway. The vehicle overturned on its wheels, entered the east ditch and came to rest. Kutyna was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected.

The vehicle sustained very severe damage, with no airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene. Citations in the accident are pending.

Earlier in the evening, at 10:38 p.m., deputies responded to County J at Grossen Road, Town of Adams, for a one-vehicle rollover crash. Zachary W. Johnson, 22, Browntown, was southbound on County J when his vehicle entered the west ditch, traveled across the road and rolled over onto its side. The vehicle came to rest up against a telephone pole.

Johnson told responding deputies he was wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured. The vehicle sustained moderate damage, without airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene.
