Those who attend the eighth annual Gathering of Rogues and Ruffians can partake in various activities, including witness fire-breathing gypsies, have their fortune told by a witch, learn medieval fighting, be inspired by knights, learn blacksmithing, discuss the art of sword making, try on armor, learn Renaissance country dancing, hear the harmonious sea shanties of Bounding Main, learn to jingle, ride a horse, or try archery.

Rogues and Ruffians will be home to more than 40 creative artisans and merchants with wares such as furs, leather, pottery, weaponry, swords, collectibles, masks, chain maille, Renaissance garb, fantasy and Steampunk attire.

The price is $7 for ages 13 and older, $5 for youth 4 through 12, and free for ages 3 and under. A weekend pass is $12 for ages 13 and older and $8 for youth ages 4 through 12. All proceeds from A Gathering of Rogues and Ruffians-A Renais-sance Faire benefit the youth programming of the Monroe-based non-profit, Shake-speare on the Edge Inc., which helps kids grow through the art of Shakespeare and by working with each other.
