MONROE - Rockabilly Junction will take the stage for Main Street Monroe's next Concert at 6:30 p.m. Friday on the Square.
The performance by Rockabilly Junction marks the fourth of eight big shows, all sponsored by Colony Brands. This four-member band focuses on fun, familiar and danceable tunes with influences of rockabilly, surf, country, rock and oldies.
Concerts on the Square offer a relaxed setting for family and friends with the iconic Green County Courthouse as the backdrop. Lawn chairs can be set up after the street closes around 3 p.m. Winners of the "Best Seat in the House" contest can leave their chairs at home and instead enjoy premium, comfortable seating courtesy of Genthe's plus a dining, beverage and swag package. Registration is at Heartland Graphics. Sign up all summer; winners drawn before each show.
Monroe Park and Recreation Department is offering a free drop-in for kids from 6 to 9 p.m. at the concert. Advance registration is required. To register, call 608-329-2460. Park and Rec will also offer the drop-in service at the July 10 and Aug. 14 concerts.
