MONROE - Wal-Mart has received its permit to relocate a road that connects Sixth Avenue West with County N north of Wisconsin 11.
The city issued the permit to Wal-Mart on Wednesday, Mayor Ron Marsh said Friday. In an interview earlier in the week with the Times, Marsh said the permit had not been taken out. Marsh said he wasn't aware of the permit's status at the time of that interview.
Corporate Construction of Madison will do the work. Project Manager Shaun Scullion said work on the road will begin the first week of August and will be done by the Oct. 31 required completion date.
