DARLINGTON - The case of a Darlington man already imprisoned on federal child pornography charges will go to trial for additional charges brought by the state of Wisconsin for possessing and producing child pornography, a Green County judge determined Wednesday.

Timmy J. Reichling, 49, will face trial later this year on multiple charges of possession of child porn, sexually exploiting minors and illicitly photographing children while being a registered sex offender.

Reichling is currently serving a 25-year sentence in federal prison for producing child pornography.

Although an exact trial date for the state case has not yet been determined, Green County Circuit Judge James Beer determined that Reichling's trial will take place sometime in August. The trial will last three days and will draw from a pool of 45 potential jurors.

Reichling was charged after he posed as a 15-year-old boy on Facebook and allegedly coerced an underage girl into sending him sexually explicit photographs of herself. Reichling threatened to release the images of his victim if she failed to comply.

Investigators reported having found several million images of child porn on Reichling's hard drives and cell phone.
