MONROE - For Don Wickstrum, Quest Industrial began as a small startup in his garage. Now the Monroe robotics firm serves clients in more than 20 states and overseas. Quest's entrepreneurial example will be on display from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 4, when Green County Area Entrepreneurs & Inventors tour the plant, 1313B 16th St.

The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments are available.

Wickstrum says his philosophy is to offer automation to keep America competitive. Toward that end, his company provides a full range of services and brings complete solutions to markets ranging from cheese - with an ultrasonic robotic cutter - to plastics to high speed parts packaging.

In 2008, Quest Industrial was honored as the Exclusive Fanuc Integrator for his incredible growth rate. In fact, Wickstrum and his employees have doubled their sales every year. The company also moved to its present location on 16th Street, creating a bigger space for the business.

Wickstrum said that his company has saved its customers more than $15 million annually, while preserving hundreds of jobs.
