NEW GLARUS - Quest Industrial, a robotics company based out of Monroe, wanted to help move robotics programming into K-12 education so it created a partnership opportunity for school districts.
Although Quest received numerous applications, it chose New Glarus School District to partner with and provided the school district with more than $100,000 in robotics equipment. The robot alone is worth $60,000 and all of the ancillary equipment, including a movable case, computer and software is worth another $40,000 to $60,000. In addition, Quest gave the New Glarus School District $3,000 for a new 3-D printer since the one currently in use is old by industry standards.
