MONROE - Prairie Enthusiasts will host a presentation by Karl Gnaedinger at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26 at the Monroe Public Library, 925 16th Ave.
Gnaedinger will discuss how fire on the prairies is beneficial to the plant species residing in the upper Midwest.
Gnaedinger, of the Nature Conservancy, is the project manager of the Indian Boundary Prairies, where he works with the difficulties of acquiring, restoring and maintaining a remnant preserve in an urban environment.
