DARLINGTON — The Darlington Police Department is seeking charges against a Potosi man following a weekend overdose.
On Friday, April 30, 2021, at 12:33 p.m., Darlington Police and EMS responded to a report of an unresponsive male subject at a Clayton Drive residence.
Initial findings suggest the man overdosed on opioids.
An officer administered lifesaving measures, including the use of Narcan, to reverse the effects of the
suspected overdose.
The man, Kyle Gille, age 25, of Potosi, was transported to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County by EMS for treatment. He was later released and arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant for violating parole.
Gille faces new charges ofpossession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of THC, possession of an illegally obtained prescription and maintaining a drug trafficking place.
Gille remained jailed at the time of this press release.
