FREEPORT - The popular television show "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" soon will be coming to northwest Illinois.
A news conference at 2 p.m. today the SportsPlex in Freeport will announce who will be teaming up with the crew from the ABC-TV show in two weeks to build a new home. This builder, crew, and literally thousands of volunteers will help make a dream come true for a local family by working around the clock to build them a home.
The family and location of the build will not be announced until Sept. 9.
