Police to remain at Brodhead HS

BRODHEAD - Brodhead police officers will remain stationed at Brodhead High School for the remainder of the school year after a bomb threat was made to the school Tuesday.

Brodhead Superintendent Leonard Lueck said Wednesday that the threat, found written on a bathroom stall Tuesday morning, was likely the work of a copycat emboldened by a similar threat made to Monroe High School on Sunday.

Although the threat was not considered credible, a higher police presence will help ensure the safety of the school throughout the final weeks of school, Lueck said.

Lueck said officers would continue to search students' bags and clothes for contraband when they enter the building.
