BRODHEAD - Police are seeking a Freeport man who reportedly threatened a coworker with a gun Thursday.
According to a Brodhead Police press release, officers responded at 5:17 p.m. to Stoughton Trailers in the 30 block of 23rd Street after James W. Colley III, 38, reportedly threatened a coworker, warning he would bring a gun to work.
After plant management learned of the threat and was unable to locate Colley, the plant was put into lockdown.
Officers and police dogs searched the facility but were unable to locate Colley. Monroe Police officers checked a residence in the 1600 block of 19th Street in Monroe, where Colley was reportedly staying, but he was determined to have left the scene.
Colley, described as a 5-foot-6 250-pound bald black male with a goatee, is wanted on an Illinois warrant for battery and is considered armed and dangerous.
