Police seek information about recent break-ins

DARLINGTON - The Lafayette County Sheriff's Department and Lafayette County Crime Stoppers are seeking information about several daytime burglaries that have taken place throughout the county in May, according to a press release Tuesday.

Two burglaries were reported April 29 in the area of Wisconsin 23 in Willow Springs township. Another burglary was reported May 21 and one more was reported May 28, according to Lafayette County Crime Stoppers.

Forced entry was reported at all the residences. Money and jewelry were taken.

Another daytime burglary was reported May 3, on Wis. 78 in Blanchard township.

There was forced entry to the home, and several state quarters were taken.

The burglaries could have been committed by one or more people, according to the press release.

Callers can remain anonymous and are eligible for up to $1,000 in cash rewards.
