BELMONT - Three sheriff's agencies were called in to attempt to find a stolen car involved in a high speed chase across Dubuque County in Iowa and Grant County in Wisconsin early Wednesday morning.
The vehicle was eventually found unoccupied in the city of Platteville. Lafayette County Sheriff's deputies were alerted about the stolen car which was reported to have entered Lafayette County. A deputy located the car as it was exiting U.S. 151 in Belmont. The car drove into the village of Belmont and was observed leaving the area westbound on County XX. At this time, the Grant County Sheriff's Department and Platteville police were notified.
The car was stolen from Crawford County.
