Main Street Monroe organizers are asking people to refrain from climbing on the pirate and mermaid sculptures on the Square. Monroe chainsaw artist Zoli Akacsos created the pieces especially for the "Pirates on the Square"; they are made to be enjoyed and withstand the elements, but could become damaged if climbed on.
MONROE - Main Street Monroe's summer event "Pirates on the Square" kicks off Saturday, June 2 with a swashbuckling party.
