ORANGEVILLE - A pilot was injured Thursday evening after a small aircraft crashed in a field outside of Orangeville.
According to a Stephenson County Sheriff press release, Mark Baker, 53, Orangeville, was piloting a two-seat aircraft eastbound when the engine shut off, forcing the plane to earth. The plane crashed in a field in the 12000 block of North Hogback Road, Town of Orangeville, at about 7:50 p.m.
Baker was the plane's only occupant and was transported to the Monroe Clinic with non-life-threatening injuries.
