MONROE - The Monroe Fire Department was called out at about 6:45 p.m. Wednesday to a shed fire at the rural residence of Nathan Bechtolt, in the 3800 block of Wisconsin 69, north of Monroe.
According to Deputy Fire Chief Lane Heins, the building was a hog shed being used for storage. The building and contents were a total loss. Among the items lost in the fire were four 4-wheelers, four motorcycles - one being a 1981 Harley Davidson- a pickup truck and a lawn mower.
Monticello Fire Department provided assistance. Firefighters were on the scene for three hours. The fire remains under investigation.
