TOWN OF SPRING VALLEY — A 33-year-old Green County man is facing charges of cocaine possession and a fourth-offense charge of drunken driving after Rock County deputies arrested him early Saturday near Edgerton.

Demetrius M. Jones, New Glarus, was charged Monday with fourth-offense operating while intoxicated, a Class H felony that carries a maximum prison sentence of six years. The charge of cocaine possession is a misdemeanor.

Rock County deputies arrested Jones after finding him in a severely damaged SUV and showing signs of impairment at about 5 a.m. Saturday on Wisconsin 213 near Tollefson Road in the Town of Spring Valley, according to a Rock County press release.

Court records show Jones still owes fines from prior OWI convictions related to arrests in Dane County in July 2011, January 2012 and February 2014. His second-offense OWI was with a passenger younger than 16, for which he was sentenced to 20 days in jail. His third-offense OWI conviction resulted in a 90-day jail sentence.
