MONROE - A New Glarus man was released on bond Thursday in Green County Circuit Court on charges of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl.

Evan Riley Dorn, 20, is charged with three Class G felony counts of third-degree sexual assault and two Class I felony counts of exposing genitals to a child.

Dorn was released Thursday on a $25,000 signature bond with conditions that he have no contact with the girl and that he not possess or consume intoxicants. Dorn appeared in court Wednesday for an initial appearance; his signature bond was signed Thursday.

Court records indicate the girl reported to the Monroe Police Department on March 15 that she was sexually assaulted by Dorn the day before. The victim said she met with a friend on March 14 and first met Dorn that night. Dorn offered to drive the girl to New Glarus. On the drive up, Dorn pulled over into a truck stop on County N and allegedly began to touch the victim. The victim said she told Dorn to stop multiple times before he assaulted her. The victim said Dorn assaulted her at least three times while in Dorn's truck. The assaults included vaginal and anal sexual intercourse.

Dorn was interviewed by police and he said the victim initiated contact. Dorn has a preliminary hearing scheduled for May 20. If convicted for the maximum penalty on all counts, Dorn could face up to 37 years imprisonment or $95,000 in fines or both.
