The Newspapers in Education program for the Monroe Times is administered by a non-profit company called NIE Solutions. NIE Solutions does fundraising on behalf of the Times to pay for the newspapers we send to schools who use the content of the Times in classroom instruction. If you’ve received a call for fundraising from NIE Solutions on behalf of the Times, it is a legitimate request. The Monroe Times regularly publishes the list of contributors to the NIE program in the newspaper.
