MADISON -- A New Glarus teen was killed Saturday when he lost control of his vehicle near a curve in Dane County, according to the Dane County Sheriff's Department.
Michael A. Castle, 18, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident took place at about 2 a.m. on Wisconsin 69 south of Paoli in Montrose township.
An investigation showed that Castle's 2005 Pontiac Grand Am was traveling north when it left the road near a curve. Castle was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.
Speed is considered a factor, according to the sheriff's department.
The area of Wis. 69 near the crash was closed for several hours Saturday.
Castle attended Belleville schools and recently graduated from the Dane County Transitional School.
