MONROE — The Green County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the driver critically injured in a recent milk truck crash.

Nicholas Q. Mueller, 24, Fall River, was hospitalized with injuries reported as life-threatening after the crash near Monroe Saturday, Jan. 11.

As of Friday, Jan. 17, the sheriff’s office was informed that his injuries were not considered life-threatening, according to Chief Deputy Tom Moczynski.

Mueller was driving a milk truck owned by Larse Trucking LLC out of Gratiot, said Moczynski. Court records show Mueller has been issued two citations related to the accident: failure to wear a seatbelt and failure to keep a vehicle under control.

Mueller was ejected when the truck crashed on an icy downhill curve of County J north of Monroe shortly after 2 p.m., according to deputy reports. The full tank of milk separated from the truck and came to rest upside down in the ditch. The chassis cab continued rolling and landed on its wheels down the road.
