MONROE - The City of Monroe Streets and Sanitation Department began hauling mulch to the parking lot by the band shell at Twining Park. It will be hauled to the site as time and weather permits.
Only City of Monroe residents may get mulch from the location. The mulch is not meant to be hauled away with bucket-type equipment, such as skit steer, endloader and tractor with bucket.
Delivery of a five-yard load of mulch is available to Monroe residents for a $40 fee, payable in advance at the city treasurer's office at city hall.
