MONROE - The Monroe Theatre Guild youth choirs will present a concert of light choral music at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18 in the MTG Theatre, 910 16th Ave.
The concert will include five selections by the junior choir and four by the senior choir, as well as four combined numbers. There is no cost to attend the concert, but donations will be accepted at the door.
The MTG Junior Choir is comprised of 15 singers ages 7 to 10, and the 10 members of the senior choir are ages 11 to 15. For several, this is their first choral singing experience.
The singers have been rehearsing for the past several weeks under the guidance of Cindy Blanc. The groups have been exploring two- and three-part harmonies while learning proper singing and rehearsing habits.
