MONROE - Auditions for the Monroe Theater Guild's Holiday Extravaganza will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17; from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19; and from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23 at MTG, 910 16th Ave.
Ebenezer Scrooge, the Abominable Snowman and Alex Trebek, as well as many classic and not-so-classic holiday characters will perform with a singing Santa, a diva Mrs. Claus and dancing elves during the Extravaganza show dates of Dec. 7 through 9 and Dec. 13 through 16.
Those who are high-school age through adult can audition for the production that was written by the MTG comedy writing team. There will be parts for a wide range of actors, singers and dancers - those who auditions do not need to do all three to audition.
Those who are interested in a singing role should prepare a piece of music or choose one from MTG selection. MTG will provide an accompanist. Actors will do a cold read from the script. MTG's choreographer will teach a short routine if those who audition are interested in a dancing role.
