MONROE - Monroe Clinic announced the Magnetic Resonance Imaging team has achieved accreditation through the American College of Radiology.

The MRI Accreditation Program evaluates staff qualifications, quality control, MR safety policies and image quality. To earn accreditation from the ACR, a program must achieve gold standards in: quality control, safety, staff accreditation and image quality. Magnetic resonance imaging is an imaging tool using a magnetic field and pulses of radio wave energy to build pictures of internal organs and structures.

ACR accredited modalities which include PET/CT and digital mammography at both Freeport and Monroe.
